BATTERED BUT NOT BROKEN

This story is about the need for an individual to control, because they are so out of control. Their self’s are misaligned causing imbalance in the way they think and interact with the people they claim to love the most. If one’s self is *noted* imbalanced, then everything around them is misconstrued. If self-worth, self-confidence, self-assurance, self-love, self reliance, self-esteem, self-control, self-defeat, self-abuse and self-judgment is apparent, it will lead to self-destruction. To be true to one self, is to be true to others. We have a responsibility to self-first, for how can we love or respect anyone else, if we don’t love or respect SELF?

This story of Sebastian and Justina Blessing is intriguing to say the least. As a child, Justina is privy to the abuse endured by her mother by a drug dealing boyfriend. At age 11 she is sent to live with her father, who is a loving, caring and supportive father. Justina will suffer the consequences of both parent’s actions. She will meet a man that by all appearances seems to be the opposite of what she has experienced as a child. What she thinks is a dream come true, will turn out to be a nightmare. Justina will triumph over obstacles that would have destroyed most women. She will live and she will learn the hard way. Hopefully the lessons she learns, will teach all of us about ourselves. What doesn’t kill us should make us stronger. She will prevail but not without a fight.
